Donna Klein Jewish Academy Math Honor Society

About Us

The Donna Klein Jewish Academy Math Honor Society strives to make a difference and help advance the math community in its immediate proximity as well as throughout the world. Currently in the DKJA Math Honor Society, there are 38 devoted members who contribute to every event, project, and meeting. Ultimately, we aim to inspire a lifelong love for mathematics and empower students to excel in their mathematical studies.

To be invited, each student must meet the following criteria:

Maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher
Achieve an A in an Honors/AP math class the prior semester
Send in a teacher recommendation to be reviewed by the head of the Math Honor Society program at Donna Klein Jewish Academy

Requirements for maintaining membership also include:

Attendance to the Math Honor Society biweekly meetings
Active participation in competitions and events
Payment of dues ($15)
Adherence to Donna Klein's general membership standards for all honor societies:
- All students in honor societies must maintain general school attendance and a 3.5 overall GPA. Each honor society reserves the right to revoke the membership of any student who engages in severe violations of the behavior codes as outlined in the school handbook

Calculator Drive

Year-Round Peer Tutoring

The DKJA Math Honors Society holds a two week calculator drive twice a year. These calculators are sent to the non-profit organization Technology 4 All™ where they will be donated to underprivileged students around the world.

Vice President - Matthew Strong (11th)

Jayden Kahn is a 12th Grade student at Donna Klein Jewish Academy and is the President of the Math Honor Society. He is currently enrolled in 2313 Analytical Geometry and Calculus III through a dual-enrollment program taught by the University of Florida.

Vice President - Matthew Strong (11th)

Matthew Strong is an 11th grade student at Donna Klein Jewish Academy and is the Vice President of the Math Honor Society. He is currently enrolled in AP Calculus AB.

Secretary - Jocelyn Mibab (11th)

Jocelyn Mibab is an 11th grade student at Donna Klein Jewish Academy and is the Secretary of the Math Honor Society.

Marketing Manager - Brianna Cukierman (10th)

Elizabeth Klein is a 10th grade student at Donna Klein Jewish Academy and is the Historian of the Math Honor Society. She is currently enrolled in Honors Pre-Calculus.

Marketing Manager - Brianna Cukierman (10th)

Brianna Cukierman is a 10th grade student at Donna Klein Jewish Academy and is the Marketing Manager of the Math Honor Society. She is currently enrolled in Honors Algebra 2.

Marketing Manager - Madeline Homer (10th)

Madeline Homer is a 10th grade student at Donna Klein Jewish Academy and is the Marketing Manager of the Math Honor Society. She is currently enrolled in Honors Pre-Calculus.
